Claude is how we run our business. I'm in it extensively throughout the day. And I still can't keep up with what they're shipping.

Here's what it does.

Claude runs on your desktop.

You message it from your phone. You come back to finished work.

That's it. That's the feature.

And it's more useful than it sounds.

Send a task on the go from your mobile (not while driving!).

Ask it to pull data from a local spreadsheet and compile a summary.

Have it search your emails and draft a briefing.

Tell it to build a presentation from files in your Google Drive.

Just finished a sales meeting, tell Dispatch to update the CRM.

Walk back in. It's done.

Setup is scanning a QR code to pair your phone with your desktop.

Five minutes. No dedicated server, no configuration files, no 48-step startup sequence.

Your Mac must be awake with Claude Desktop open — which is actually a security feature.

No always-on cloud server means no always-on attack surface. Files stay local.

You approve what Claude touches.

It's a research preview. Early testing puts reliability at around 50/50 on complex tasks — strong on information retrieval, less reliable on cross-app actions.

So don't bet your month-end close on it just yet. Give it a few weeks and I'm sure there'll be some updates.

But the direction is clear.

The AI isn't waiting at your desk anymore.

You dispatch it a task and it gets on with it.
